First removal of foreign matter and drying process

Hello!

This is Hirota from CoesamJapan.

The time of year for harvesting rose hips has come again.

It's been quite a while since my last blog update, but I'd like to introduce you to how to remove foreign objects after harvesting!

Coesam's rose hips are treated with foreign body removal a total of four times.

First, remove the foreign body.

First, we gather the large amount of rose hips harvested at the factory!

When harvested, leaves and stems are mixed in, so some of these should be removed before drying.

Then comes the important drying process.

To maintain the high quality of Coesam rose hips, the rose hips are dried as soon as they are harvested.

Lots of rose hips are brought to the furnace!

Have fun!
(Apparently, harvesting is a physical challenge from morning to night.)

Coesam's rose hips are dried slowly and carefully for about 11 hours at a maximum temperature of 55 degrees to prevent the Vitamin C contained in them from being destroyed as much as possible by drying.

To be continued!
